Directions
- Remove any dirt or moisture between the rubber and glass, or rubber and metal. Clean with mineral turpentine and allow to dry.
- Remove cap, unscrew nozzle, pierce inner seal, refit nozzle, then cut the tip at a 45 degree angle.
- Insert the nozzle between the rubber and glass or rubber and metal where possible. Squeeze the tube with steady pressure to push sealant into the joint. Smooth off with a gloved finger.
- If additional smoothing is needed, do it before the sealant skins.
- Clean up uncured sealant with mineral turpentine. Cured material must be cut or scraped away.
- Replace the cap after use. Allow sealant in the nozzle to cure, then remove before next use.
Handy tips
- For neat lines, mask both sides of the joint and remove tape before the sealant skins.
- Best results occur when the joint is clean, dry and free of loose material.
Limitations
- Not recommended on natural rubber, NBR or chloroprene neoprene due to poor adhesion.
Clean up and storage
- Clean uncured sealant with mineral turpentine. Remove cured sealant by cutting or scraping.
- Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Use within 24 months of production.
